When should I consult a gynaecologist about irregular periods?

Arrange a consultation if your periods are persistently irregular, unusually heavy, very painful or have stopped unexpectedly. Assessment depends on your symptoms and history.

When should a couple seek fertility evaluation?

In general, seek advice after 12 months of regular unprotected intercourse, or after 6 months if the female partner is 35 or older. Earlier evaluation may be appropriate when known concerns exist.

Do both partners need testing for fertility concerns?

Often, yes. Fertility assessment may involve both partners, with investigations selected according to their histories and findings.

When should I schedule my first pregnancy appointment?

Contact a clinician after a positive pregnancy test to arrange timely antenatal care. Pain, bleeding or concerning symptoms should be assessed promptly.

Does a high-risk pregnancy always require a Caesarean delivery?

No. Monitoring and delivery planning depend on the individual pregnancy, medical conditions and how the pregnancy progresses.

Are laparoscopic procedures or IVF performed at the clinic?

Dr. Sunitha can discuss treatment options and referral pathways. Please confirm which procedures are available onsite and which are arranged at other facilities.

What should I bring to my first consultation?

Bring previous prescriptions, relevant scans or laboratory reports, your medication list and any questions you would like to discuss. Your doctor will advise if additional records are needed.

Can I consult Dr. Sunitha T for PCOS or PCOD?

Yes. A consultation can help assess menstrual irregularity, symptoms, metabolic risk and fertility concerns related to PCOS. Investigations and treatment are tailored to individual needs.

Does a low AMH result mean pregnancy is impossible?

No. AMH is one marker of ovarian reserve and does not, by itself, determine whether natural pregnancy is possible. Age, ovulation, sperm health and other factors also matter.

Can I discuss vaginal infections or unusual discharge at the clinic?

Yes. Persistent discharge, itching, odour or discomfort should be assessed to identify the cause. Avoid starting antibiotics or vaginal treatments without appropriate medical advice.

What options are available for fibroids or ovarian cysts?

Management depends on symptoms, examination, imaging, size, appearance and pregnancy plans. Observation, medicines or surgery may be discussed when appropriate; not every fibroid or cyst requires surgery.

Can I ask about menopause, cervical screening and preventive checkups?

Yes. Consultations may include discussion of menopausal symptoms, cervical cancer screening eligibility, breast-health concerns and age-appropriate preventive care. The recommended tests depend on your history and risk factors.
